Virginia Beach Shooting
DeWayne Craddock, 40, 15 year city employee as an engineer, public utilities worker in the water and sanitary
sewers branch described as disgruntled, killed 12 going through all three floors of Building 2
at the city's municipal center.
Neighbors said Craddock was a creature of habit who was usually home. He had “No pet, no wife, no visitors, no nothing."
New information in news reports say he was a satisfactory worker in good standing with no disciplinary issues in the workplace.
Craddock had resigned his job by email Friday morning, hours before the rampage began.
He was seen brushing his teeth after eating before the episode. He spoke casually wishing another employee a good weekend.
Survivor Ned Carlstrom doesn't know why Craddock never pointed his gun at him although they locked eyes twice during the rampage.
Carlstrom's job during safety drills was monitoring stairwells. He had begun an evacuation plan for an active-shooter drill he thought was happening. When he turned the corner going to the stairwell he encountered Craddock.
Believing the gun was a prop for the safety drill, he was not alarmed when Craddock almost hit him with it in brushing past him.
One report to the New York Times says in recent weeks Craddock had been getting into physical confrontations with others, one of the altercations violent.
That pattern of increasing difficulty with others, with violent confrontations is a indication he did create visual subliminal distraction.
To establish this a sketch or picture of his workplace, and his home computer workstation arrangement is needed.

Craddock would have created
the "mental break causing design mistake" where he worked or used a computer at
home, then used that location hours daily
for days. Typically exposure for psychiatric symptoms might take weeks.

There is no current information about a motive.
If he created Subliminal Distraction that motive may have been delusional.

Circumstantial and direct evidence exists that mass shooters are creating a
problem design engineers discovered and solved fifty years ago when it
caused still-believed-harmless self remitting mental breaks for office workers.
Not a theory or speculation, there is a multi-billion dollar annual industry including Herman Miller Inc., Steelcase, Knoll, Haworth, and others selling cubicles and installing Systems Furniture in open-plan offices to prevent visual subliminal distraction, panicked episodes of confusion, sometimes so severe they cause hallucinations.

Several hours daily for successive days, as much as a week, are necessary to cause psychiatric symptoms. Warning
There is no treatment available or necessary. The office worker experience, and this experimental outcome will spontaneously remit with appropriate scrupulous rest from exposure. Again, that remission may take at least a week.
This phenomena arises from normal features of the physiology of sight everyone has. Only the congenitally blind, blind from birth with no neural impulses on the optic nerve are immune.
