Preventing Subliminal Distraction episodes, mistaken for mental illness, is simple and free.

Blood Test for Depression

Daily Mail article:

"Blood test for depression: Scientists find biomarker in people with clinical form"

by Natalie Rahhal

Twitter

This research tested 71 individuals for a low level of one molecule claiming it a biomarker of depression.

"When they tested the blood of their 71 patients, they found that those who had previously been diagnosed with major depressive disorder had notably lower levels of a molecule called acetyl-L-carnitine (LAC). "

"The lowest levels of LAC were found in those with a history of trauma or PTSD, in women and those with difficult-to-treat depression, signaling that there may be a very close relationship between these important stressors and this single molecule."

What's wrong with that?

How many people in the general population have the same marker

but no depression or other mental distress symptoms?

There was no information in the article that they exhaustively tested for that.

The thinking here is used by researchers mistaking statistical correlation for evidence.

This has happened over and over on issues like Alzheimer's and mental illness.

There is a 100% correlation for mental illness.

Those congenitally blind, blind from birth, no neural impulses on the optic nerve,

do not have schizophrenia, panic attacks, or bipolar disorder.

Without sight the congenitally blind cannot create visual subliminal distraction.

I am unaware of the statistics for depression for this group.

But it is possible to create depression using Subliminal distraction,

impossible for the completely blind.

Unaware of visual subliminal distraction, researchers have not investigated the connection

between this problem everyone has, and psychiatric symptoms.

This site is a project about that problem discovered to cause mental breaks for office workers in 1964.

Visual  subliminal distraction, explained in first semester psychology, is caused by a physical situation, a "mental break causing design mistake," which demands the long term suppression of the vision startle reflex.

Although there is a multi-billion dollar industry selling cubicles and Systems Furniture designed to prevent the still-believed-harmless panicked episode of confusion found in offices, the public, mental health services and research are unaware the simple problem exists.

Perform my demonstration of the habituation of conscious sight in peripheral vision to understand how it begins and cannot be consciously experienced as it happens. Here

The design mistake engineers found can be replicated, optimized, to show the psychiatric outcome of anxiety leading to depressive ideation with a few successive days of heavy Subliminal Distraction.

This problem can be viewed as 'subliminal operant conditioning' due to the stimulation of the amygdala during repeating undetectable failed attempts to visually startle creating the oppressive subliminal appreciation of threat.

Yes! It is possible to create depression experimentally.

Subliminal Distraction caused depression cannot respond to medications designed to perturb brain chemistry.

That suggests persistent untreatable depression subjects should be screened for behaviors to cause Subliminal Distraction.

Depression so caused will continue as long as Subliminal Distraction exposure continues.

With appropriate rest from Subliminal Distraction, the episode will spontaneously remit without treatment or after effects.

That remission will make any treatment modality seem effective.
